Hi everyone, today all our external beta testers should find versions 3.3 is now available for beta testing.

Before outlining the changes, a reminder of the overall Beta participation guidelines for both existing testers, and for those that wish to sign up and enrol.

Please take a moment to read the notes below to understand the obligations and risks of beta testing.

  • Whilst we perform our own internal testing before going to public release, there are chances of still having glitches that may even potentially may stop you from being able to listen to your music. You may have to live with this for a few days until the situation is resolved.
  • Once you have installed a beta version, you will not be able to revert to your previous version. You will, naturally, be able to install the final release version with no intervention from Innuos.
  • Make a backup before applying the Beta to ensure you data is fully safeguarded.
  • Continually using your system as you normally would still helps to ensure that existing features remain working well, however we do ask that you attempt to test all new features proposed in the beta where possible.
Applying for Beta

  • Start a conversation with our QA manager. To do this, click on the mail icon on the top right of this page and click on “Send direct message”. Choose “Angelica” as recipient.

Sense 3.3 Features Improvements:
- Qobuz Connect integration (Beta)
- Spotify Connect integration
- Innuos SmartQ - Player Queue will continue automatically when it reaches the end with track suggestions based on the last played tracks. It is possible to configure how many of those tracks are discovery tracks from Streaming Services and how many are from the Music Library
- Playback Presets: now it's possible to add Mixes, Playlists, Radios and Podcasts to Presets accessible in Home Page
- My Mixes: now it is possible to save Albums Mixes and Artists Mixes to be easily accessible for later use
- Now it is possible to do a Mix based on multiple Artists
- It is now possible to use the back button or swipe gestures in mobile devices to go to the previous page in Sense

With this particular update, we are introducing a few new features, so besides any bug reports we do welcome general UI/usability feedback for new features like the Presets and Smart Mixes.

Hi Stephen. I created a mix from 2 composers and saved it. When I tried to load it, I get an error message... This happens whether I am on the border or the app...

Corrected text: Hi Stephen. I created a mix from 2 composers and saved it. When I tried to load it, I get an error message... This happens whether I am on the browser or the app... (Mac OS 15.4, iOS 18.4)

Is it possible to roll back beta software to the current release version?

Thanks, John
In the post above, it says:

So I guess not...

Hi Guys,

We ask that you please stick by the feedback structure listed above so we can better and more easily help to identify issues.

Maybe I missed something, but how would I be able to test Qobuz Connect Integration in 3.3.0-14 (Beta?
This only work for Qobuz users who are also enrolled in the beta program with Qobuz themselves to test out their Connect feature. If you are enrolled in their beta, you should be able to try Qobuz Connect through an Innuos system on Sense 3.3.

Edit: Do note that this may not work is then re-playing out from the Innuos to a UPnP device; Spotify Connect, for example, has to play out of the actual onboard player output of the Innuos, and cannot resend across SenseUPnP. I have not personally tested this with Qobuz Connect but would assume similar behaviour.

I’m not sure if this is related to the Beta version, but in my new setup, Sense isn’t being discovered when I use the “zenmini.local” address in the browser. I’m not sure why the Bonjour address isn’t being registered. I can access Sense by entering the direct IP address. Using the my.innous.com address never worked on my Mac. However, this is to be expected when MacOS 15.4 (Private Relay) is activated.

Have Qobuz Connect working on my Zen mk3.

Devialet Phantom UPnP got even worse under Sense Beta 3.3.3-15. Now every time it would skip a track the player would reconnect. Tried all modes and settings from 44.1kHz to 96kHz. This is happening in playlists with different resolutions. E.g. Qobuz “Canyon Sounds of 1970” it would never complete the second track “Simon & Garfunkel: Celia” but skip to Track 3”. Playing Radio Paradise FLAC would however show no issues.
