Calling Sense 3 Beta Testers, who's in?

I have a backup problem at the moment and am sure whether this is just a problem at my end or with the Beta SW, so I'm posting here first.

I have just bought a new backup drive, a 2TB USB-C drive connected by a USB-C to USB-A cable which works fine on my Macs and has thus allowed me to make sure the disc is formatted XFat as required by the Statement. The drive LED comes on so power is getting through and the port is probably working OK but the Innuos Statement can't see it.

The Backup utility works fine for the old NAS.

The problem I was having with the disappearing Streamers was solved very ably by Daniel in a remote session last Friday - it appears the beta installation didn't delete some old LMS plugins.

So, maybe we have a similar problem here for the USB drive. Is Backup to USB working fine for everyone else using the beta?
This may be a separate known issue - we have found on the STATEMENT that some USB drives cannot get sufficient power from the USB of the mainboard - have you tried connecting the Backup USB drive to the dedicated Reclocked USB DAC output? This has its own 5v rail so can more reliably power different USB drives.
I'll investigate regarding the radio stations.

One more question about the groups: how is the "Sync volume across all players in this group" feature expected to work when players are connected in different ways? I have my main Amplifier connected directly from the Innuos player and therefore set at 100% to be bit perfect with the volume controlled at the Amp level, and some other active speakers connected in other rooms by Airplay (using the Airplay bridge LMS plugin) where the sound volume is controlled either manually on the speakers or through Innuos Sense, so the volume on those is never at 100% and varies on the Sense display. I found that changing the volume on the main Amp does not seem to change the volume on the other speakers. (Although in my first test it had seemed to work but that may have been a coincidence of volume being at "compatible" levels).
When it comes to fairly comparable multiroom systems, my experience is when you change the volume physically on the device itself within one zone, it will only affect that zone rather than the entire network-grouped zone.

Thanks Stephen!

I have tried the "USB" and "Backup" spockets and the behaviour is the same on both. Strangely, with the USB DAC socket (which I have never used before, since I only use Naim streamers and not a standalone DAC), the USB plug will not go in all the way and the LED on the drive does not come on. I have tried several leads now and the result is the same. They all plug in "all the way" on the other sockets...

SHould I put this through as a service request?

Installed 3.2.03 with a few hiccups.

The Statement failed to fully reboot upon restart. At this point it was visible to my.innuos but could not be connected to by either the web interface or iOS App.

I restarted it and it again failed to boot completely (light stayed white) and could not be connected to by Sense.

So I shut it down, switched it off at the mains and let it sit for a few minutes. It then started and booted successfully. I selected the Naim Streamers in the system settings (this had to be done from scratch) but they did not show as available players and I again got the no DAC connected message. Another reboot and all was well.

So don't despair if you don't hit bullseye immediately with 3.2.0.3....

I had a mild hope that the USB backup problem might be resolved withe update, but it's still no-go

Also installed 3.2.03 on my Zen 3. Also had a few hiccups of the 'no DAC connected' variety, but eventually resolved.

Tidal streaming is ok. For locally stored music, FLAC files play as normal, while other file types (WAV, AAC etc) won't play at all.

Any idea what might be causing this?
