Bit of a weird one for me this. Every Friday I open Sense and look for new albums in Qobuz and Tidal. I favourite what I want to listen to as soon as possible etc. I can tell Qobuz updates every Friday as I can see albums I’ve been waiting for and can see ones I favourited part way down the screen rather than at the top. Same used to apply with Tidal although for a while now there have been noticeably less Tidal releases than on Qobuz.

I have now begun to suspect that the list below in Tidal is not new at all and has sat there for a couple of weeks or more. My last Tidal sync was March so I’ve just updated that, although I don’t believe it’s anything to do with this, and sure enough no change.

Going to the Tidal iOS app offers no clues as that looks entirely different and doesn’t obviously offer this album option. It’s all about curating what you have and guiding you to new tracks not albums.

Anyone have any clues as to what’s going on? Is it the case that this IS the latest set of releases from Tidal or is something awry here?

Hi Mike,

That does appear to be correct, my Tidal looks the same as well. As far as I’m aware, it updates periodically and can vary depending on your location (or the location associated with your account). Since we’re both based in the UK, it makes sense that ours are the same. The information is provided directly by Tidal and is not something we have control over.

Additionally, within Tidal’s own app (on desktop or mobile), if you scroll down, you'll find a section where they recommend new tracks and albums. This section is updated whenever their algorithm identifies something it thinks you might enjoy, this information is not available in the Tidal tile in Sense.
