Stuttering sound when streaming via Tidal

Hi,

I recently bought the Pulse and very happy with the sound and sense app. Only experience some diffilcuties when streaming via Tidal.

I have a problem with playback via Tidal. The first song is played correctly. However, when the system goes to the next song, I suffer from stuttering. If I then restart the song or move to the next one, the problem will be solved.

Anyone have any idea what could be the cause of this? The pulse is connected via a network switch. Playback on the devialet phantoms is via Upnp.

I also have the idea that the music already moves on to the next song before it is visible in the sense app - it is still on the previous song at about 95% of the playback time. So it looks like the delay in the app is the cause of the problems

Solution
Hi Stephen,

I did connect optical to Phantom - with optical no stuttering occured. So that's a solution. I only experience that the soundquality over optical is less good then using UPnP.

Now I did connect the Phantoms with Ethernet Cable and looks like it's more stable.

I also experiencing loss of availablity of the Phantoms as Streamers in the Sense App. Now with ethernet cable plugged in - also this is more stable. But found it rather strange that one Phantom with Optical from TV is not responding. Once I disconnect the optical cable from TV to Phantom, then it will appear in the Sense app.

Seems like the problem is with the Phantoms and not the Pulse - also other devices are found by the Pulse...

I have them running correctly...
Hi Al, we would need to take a closer look, but i suspect this is related to UPnP to the Phantoms which is notoriously difficult. One would to confirm this is if you are able to run an optical cable directly from the output of the PULSE into one of the Phantoms, and play TIDAL straight out from the PULSE this way rather than across UPnP.

Hi
I also had a problem with stutteringin another configuration. My problem was, that the TP-link-box, which coverts from WIFI to cable, had a bad configuration and much too little bandwith. When connecting via ethernet-cable the stuttering disappeared. Resetting the TPlink-box also made WIFI work again.
