Hi All,
When I stop playing a track (II) and then use the off
/shut down button under the system menu all good, Zenith shuts down correctly.
Power off the stereo.
When I come back the next day and power up the stereo again, as soon as the Zenith mk3 is powered up and BEFORE I start Sense app, the same track as I was previously listening to begins playing through the stereo. Is this correct??
It seems that the last song playing is in memory however I would have thought that “shutting down the unit” would clear all memory?
If I’m doing something incorrect I’d appreciate a heads up.
Regards. Frank

Hi Frank, certainly don't think you're doing anything wrong there. It might also be related a little bit with the comms to the DAC - which DAC are you using? The order of boot sequence may have an impact - try making it so that the ZENith is the final thing to power up, or at lest make sure your DAC is powered on BEFORE the ZENith.
You could also try going in to Sense, then Settings -> Advanced Settings, and Clearing the Queue Cache.

Hi Stephen,
well making sure the Zenith powers up last appears to work as you recommended.
The dac is a locally (Australia) made, NOS PCM1702 ladder dac called the Kompakt DAC 11.
It is interesting that the order of powering up makes a difference.
Thank you.

Interesting. Having had Naim kit for years we power up source first and power down source last. Have never had any issues with the Zenith when doing this.

About to move to a valve integrated and had assumed it would be Zenith, Chord Hugo TT2 DACand then the amp. Have I got this wrong @Stephen Healy?

The feature of play immediately at switch on is back.
Two days ago I was playing the Qobuz HiRes Playlist through the Zenith mk3, I shut everything off as normal. Closed Sense on my phone.
There was a power cut last night so the whole system was hard powered down. All units back power switches set to off. When the utility power returned I sequenced all the power up as normal,
In this sequence: Preamp, DAC, Power amps and finally the Zenith.
As soon as the Zenith completed initialisation and front light turned blue - music emerged from my speakers.
Playing the same compilation, from the track that was stopped when the Zenith was last switched off.
When I opened Sense on my phone, and it connected to the Zenith it was as though (Sense and the Zenith) nothing had been switched off in the intervening 36hrs.

12 hrs later , same issue on start-up again.
Then, I lost the internet connection.
powered down AND switched off the Zenith at the back power switch.
Fixed internet.
Powered the Zenith back on (rest of system stayed on while I fixed internet mesh) and SILENCE.
It seems I have an intermittent issue.
If this continues to come and go Is it worth me Clearing Queue Cache (in advanced settings) even though it says only to be used by Innuos Support team?
Feedback appreciated.

Just looking through all the settings and I found this UPnP setting was set to on?? I don’t have any UPnP devices so I toggled it to off. Don’t know if this would have any bearing on this but I’ll let you know.

The music at “switch on” is happening more and more , say 70% of the time, I have reverted to clearing the music cache if it happens but I’m sure this is NOT supposed to be necessary. @Stephen Healy , when you have some time could you look into it? Thank you in advance

The startup behaviour can be altered in LMS, so would suggest you try some of the other options there.
- On a web browser, use my.innuos.com to detect and connect to your server
- You should see the IP address up in the address bar of the browser.
- Add :9000/default to the end of the IP address, and this will take you to the LMS interface.
- Click the Settings cog in the bottom-right corner.
- Go to the 'Player' tab
- You should see a drop-down option near the tabs labelled 'Basic Settings'. Click on this and go to 'Audio'
- On the new page, the very first option will be a section called 'Power on Resume'. Feel free to test these different modes, but I would suggest you select from the 'Pause at power off / remain paused at power on' option.

Give that a try and let us know!

Hi again @Stephen Healy ,
I logged on as advised and I cannot find the tabs you mention. I’ve attached some screen captures to show what I see on my computer. Perhaps I’ve gone to the wrong place??
As far as I can see the Innuos system is updated to current software.
Regards. Frank

You are still in the Sense Web Interface. As mentioned in the description, you have to add the port number in the browser to access LMS. So, in your case it should read: http://192.168.50.176:9000/default
