USB backup to external hd is 100% done, but will not finalize

As done before, I need to make a backup from zen ng to external usb hd.
The external backup is last done some month ago.
Via system/backup/library I start “backup now” and it starts
After 20 min it is 100 finalized, but job is still in progress
Only action I can choose is cancle backup
What to do ?..

A backup can take a fair while, depending on the size of the backup and the drive used. An external HDD will be slower than an external SSD.
Has it finished on your system, or is it still processing?

In the end, I gave up and cancled the backup. I started again, no changes , and this time, when reaching 100%, it finished correctly. So sorry, no learning-points, only; if 100% done, and not finished, then cancle and start again :-(

Presumably, this was an existing backup you were adding to, not a fresh one?
When you next do a backup, you can first enable the logger in the System Logs page so additional data is logged, if an issue occurs you can then create a support ticket via the Contact Support option, and select Upload Logs for us to examine.
