We're aware of an issue using Spotify Connect on our systems. It appears something has changed on their side and as such our Spotify integration is not working currently. We're looking into it.

We've identified the issue, and hope to have a hotfix out soon to remedy the change from Spotify.

An update in case others experience the same symptoms. Upon choosing the Innuos from tablet, phone etc., the original error repeats itself every time. But then choosing the source device (i.e. phone) again , then choosing the Innuos again (toggling), it plays normally and will do so till you end the session. Annoying (especially if you are in and out of sessions throughout the day) but after a few tries, it functions fine.

Just to add a data point without derailing the thread:

Innuos already confirmed this can be triggered by Spotify-side/app changes and typically needs a Sense update to restore compatibility. So first step is always: update Sense to the latest release, then validate the basics (same subnet, no VPN, no guest Wi-Fi / client isolation, and avoid mesh/extenders while testing).

If you want a workaround that’s less coupled to vendor firmware changes, you can externalize the Spotify Connect endpoint: run a maintained spotifyd/librespot instance on a small Debian box/VM and route audio into your system (e.g., via Icecast/Roon). This tends to be more resilient when Spotify updates break embedded implementations.

I documented a reproducible setup here (installer + config): https://spotycast.ovh
