Hi Nuno, you fixed some issues with UpnP on my Naim ND5XS2 on Jan 6th by remote access, and I was advised by Daniel on Jan 14th not to update to 3.4.1 and to wait until a specific update is issued for Naim UpnP. Is this still the case or is it safe for me to update to 3.4.1?Hi Alfredo,
3.4.1 in terms of SenseUPnP should not have made changes to devices other than Naim. Try removing and adding them again please on the Settings > Audio. Let me know if that helps.
Best,
Nuno

Local stuff okay fine but when streaming from quobuz on the 2nd, 3rd song it ends halfway through and jumps to the next track.
Have turned it all off and on again but the issue persists - would welcome some help!
Gary
We've seen some reports with some issues with Qobuz lately as they are doing some infrastructure changes, even when playing directly through Sense. Are you able to test if you can reproduce the issue with local tracks or Radio for example? My issues materialised after I did the update (definitely on 3.4.2)
I’m nit technically gifted but any suggestions on how to fix would be appreciated
Gary
Radio and local music plays fine, it’s just quobuzWe've seen some reports with some issues with Qobuz lately as they are doing some infrastructure changes, even when playing directly through Sense. Are you able to test if you can reproduce the issue with local tracks or Radio for example?

Yes, this is almost certainly related to the ongoing Qobuz playback issues.Still having drop outs and skips when Using quobuz. Is this fixable?
To clarify, the Streamer port is a player output - it basically functions like a 2 port switch. Your Naim 333 could be on the other side of the house using WiFi and still appear via SenseUPnP just the same way.Switching back to the ethernet player output
Hi, Martin.Transferring my issues from the Qobuz playback issue thread.
For me, “Stepping Out: The very best of Joe Jackson” skips from track 2 to 3 half way through the song “Sunday Papers” on an Innuos Zen, firmware version 3.4.2, streaming with the SenseUPNP app from Qobuz. And again on track 6, "Fools in Love". The network streamer is a Naim Audio NSS333.
Streaming to my Naim NSS333 using the Naim app, playing the same tracks from Qobuz works fine.
I have experimented by putting a USB DAC on my Zen Mk3. The Joe Jackson album first three tracks played fine from Qobuz to my Zen through the USB DAC without problem. Switching back to the ethernet player output from the Zen to my Naim NSS333, I played Joe Jackson on Qobuz from track 4. At track 5, half of the piece is played and then the playback skips to track 6. I think the problem I am experiencing could be with the SenseUPNP feature.
I played the first three tracks from Qobuz through Naim streamer (without the Innuos box involved in the playback route) this morning. No problems with that. On Qobuz there is one version of that album, flac 16/44.1, so there is no possibility of different files being played.
It is only the combination of playback from Qobuz and use of the SenseUPNP feature that is a problem for me. This album and others play fine when a USB DAC is used or when I stream using the Naim/Qobuz integration. So I am leaning towards saying this problem is a combination of Qobuz and SenseUPNP.
I have also been listening to Paul Simon's Graceland 25th Anniversary edition, which suffers similar problem plus one other problem. This album is on Qobuz as a 24/96 high res recording. Every third track skips to the next one part way through. Track 8 "Homeless" will not play at all, after eight seconds of silence play skips back to the beginning of the same track.
The Naim 333 is on the other side of the house, how did you know?To clarify, the Streamer port is a player output - it basically functions like a 2 port switch. Your Naim 333 could be on the other side of the house using WiFi and still appear via SenseUPnP just the same way.
The only advice I can give is that which has already been outlined by Daniel here:
In this case, I’d recommend either connecting directly to your Vermeer via USB for the most stable and optimal performance, or, if you prefer to use the Vermeer’s streaming functionality, using its own control app. Alternatively, apps like BubbleUPnP can also be used, with NativeUPnP enabled in Sense to access your ZEN’s music library.
You can also experiment with the compatibility settings for SenseUPnP to try and achieve more stable playback. If issues occur with compatibility mode enabled, you can disable it and adjust the individual settings manually.
As mentioned previously...
You can also try removing the 333 as a UPnP player from Sense completely and try re-adding it.
Thanks Ian,Hi, Martin.
In the spirit of trying to get the Sense UpnP implementation for Naim streamers improved - I have had many problems, and some interventions on specific issues by Nuno - I have tested out the Joe Jackson album you highlighted from Qobuz on my Innuos Zen mini mk3 via UPnP to my Naim ND5XS2 with the following corroborating results:
Playing from the start of Track 1, Track 2 skips after 1m31s
Playing from Track 4, Track 5 skips at 1m34
Playing from Track 6, Track 7 skips half way through
Common thread seems to be a skip after 1.5 tracks or so, around 4 to 4.5 mins of playing.
I tested the same Qobuz album playing 1) direct Qobuz Connect to Naim streamer, 2) using the Naim app, 3) via Roon on Nucleus to Naim streamer and all three performed properly. So it does look like a Qobuz/Sense interaction issue.
Regarding the Graceland Track 8, this is definitely a Qobuz problem, not Sense. It fails to play also via Qobuz Connect, the Naim app and Roon. I have my own purchased FLAC of this album and Track 8 plays correctly via Sense from the Zen mini as well as the Naim app and Roon.
I hope this helps us get to an improved Sense UPnP implementation.
Cheers, Ian
