Sense App goes to beginning of track after pausing

I've noticed after updating to version 3.1 of the Sense app that I cannot pause a track and then continue from the same point. As soon as I press the pause icon, the track indicator goes to the beginning of the track. I'm not 100% sure that this started happening only with this particular update; I have a dim recollection of this happening before the 3.1 update but was too preoccupied with other things to really notice. Has anyone else experienced this, or found a solution? If it makes a difference, I'm using a Naim NDS streamer.

Couple of things.
1-Still have the shuffle not functioning correctly. Each day it replays the same songs from the day before even though it has many more to choose from.
2-With Innuos open on my Mac , then reduced to the task bar but open it locks up after a couple of minutes and I have to close the app and reopen to use, it freezes
3- I was adding some music file from Qobuz, when I selected to play tracks different tracks played then what I selected ?

I cannot replicate this using Default UPnP Profile to some KEF LSX II over SenseUPnP, so this is perhaps something quite specific to the Naim. Most likely a change needs to be made to the profile, and as mentioned there will be changes in 3.2 regarding SenseUPnP.

I forgot to specify in my original post that I am using the NDS v2 profile. Out of curiosity, I changed the UPnP profile to NDS/NDX. What happens is different but equally strange. After the pause icon is tapped, the horizontal line that runs along to bottom of the screen to show elapsed time stops, as expected. However, the track keeps on playing! It does seem to stop after a period of time and navigating to other menus. So the NDS v2 profile is the lesser of two irritants, pending whatever improvements will come in system update 3.2.

Hi Stephen, I have the same issue with all tracks - if I pause it always goes back to the beginning. I am playing to my Naim ND5XS2.

Hi Stephen, and copying SalsaCycle and mikehughesescq:

This Pause issue was around before 3.1 - see below. I've been investigating a bit more again today and there are other issues / symptoms. When I had the PAUSE issue, the profile for my ND5XS2 (under Audio / Settings) was NDS so I changed it to Naim Uniti, and I tried again and after a PAUSE the track did not reset to the beginning. Great, I thought. However the joy was short-lived as two other problem emerged 1) when I PAUSE a track, it often doesn't stop and the music continues and it takes several attempts to get it to stop, and 2) when play is resumed the track sometimes stops, jumps back 15 seconds or so then restarts and goes into a 15-second loop playing the same section repeatedly. So it seems to me that the two Naim profiles still need tweaking to solve these glitches. Back in July 2023 - when working with Nuno and then Tiago in remote sessions - we discovered that both profiles (NDS and Naim Uniti) had these glitches and others (e.g endpoints changing without being selected and endpoints disappearing), but nothing seems yet to have been done to resolve them. Should I submit a ticket to Support? Will the upcoming 3.2 release tackle the profile setting issues?

I experienced what you've described regarding the Uniti profile when I experimented with using the NDS/NDX profile instead of the NDS v2.

To repeat though, I am not using any profile.
By definition, if you are using Sense with UPnP integration, you are using a profile. If you haven't explicitly chosen one, the Innuos server probably chose one according to the streamers that it found on your network. To check this out, go to System/Settings/Audio. Mine looks like this. 1732488371472.png

Ah, you are going directly into a Chord DAC, I assume via USB, and so are not using UPnP integration. This puts a different spin on the problem as it would seem to be something broader than just UPnP integration with a streamer.
