My Zen Mk2 has died. I’ve been asked by support to do diagnostics at boot up by connecting the unit to a TV and photographing the output. The problem is that the output connection on the unit is VGA, but my TV doesn’t have a VGA socket. I bought a VGA/HDMI cable, but that doesn’t work. Apparently I need some kind of converter? Does anyone know anything about that? I’ve looked up converters, but there is a baffling array of varieties and I don’t want to buy the wrong one. Unfortunately, support pages and the email assume I have access to a fully stocked workshop and have technical knowledge which, sadly, I completely lack.

VGA might be easier to find on a computer monitor, especially if it a slightly older one. If that is still not feasible then it might be best to locate your next nearest Innuos dealer and see if they can assist.

Have no computer monitor with VGA, and don’t know anyone with one to spare. Phoned my nearest dealer, who said all they could do was send the unit to Innuos. So still hoping someone here might have a solution re VGA to HDMI, so I can satisfy Innuos support.

It’s all phone shops around here :( One of which sold me the cable that doesn’t appear to work. But will remember to check with computer shops if there’s a next time, which I hope there isn’t.

Innuos support now said that the unit has to go back to them, so hopefully out can be fixed. No point trying to look into it remotely, I guess, as it doesn’t seem to be connecting to my network.
