My Zen Mini mk3 (3.2.5) does not detetct or see my (or any) UPnP enabled streamer.

Weird thing is that when I enable UPnP I don't get the additional window below it I've seen on other screenshots people have posted:

The streamer is a Plinius Inspire 980 and works ok with audirvana and is picked up by a UPnP query app as a media renderer. Audirvana also detects the chromecast within my TV but Innuos is not detecting anything at all?

Apologies for delay responding, very busy in build up to Munich show...

On this point:

This is normal; SenseUPnP config no longer exists on this menu, this was changed in a software update a few months ago so this is expected. It only exists in the Audio section as per your other screenshot.
I don't believe Chromecast devices inherently appear as UPnP audio receiver, it depends a bit more on the device exactly so the Innuos would not strictly pick this up, whereas Audirvana does support Chromecast Audio casting.
As for the Plinius though, I am not sure. Is the Inspire and the ZENmini in the same rack and connected to the same network switch/router? Have you tried power cycling the amp, ZENmini and router?
Also, are you able to place the ZENmini near the Plinius and just go straight out to one of the digital inputs of the Plinius? This would likely sound better than UPnP in any case.

You've already asked and I've already answered that yes they are on the same subnet and connected to the same switch/router via ethernet. Yes I've also tried power cycling all the devices.

As you can see the Plinius supports media rendering, control and AV transport as per UPnP and it works with audirvana, Roon and others.

The Plinius streamer is also recognised and works fine with mconnect which is one of the popular UPnP apps

It looks like Innuos is about the only UPnP device I've tried that doesn't detect it. That's actually saying something as Audirvana is notorious about being sensitive about UPnP schema support, especially disliking openhome implementations

You could try connecting the Plinius via Ethernet to the Streamer port on the ZENmini. It is a bridged gigabit connection, not an audio output, but could be worth testing as a variable. This does assume the two devices are near each other, and if that is the case then as mentioned before, i'd expect it to be better to sidestep UPnP altogether and use the ZENmini as the streamer via Sense into the DAC section of the Plinius.

That makes no difference.

I'd like the ability to choose for myself what sounds better/worse though 🤷‍♀️

Ironically I'm now trying LMS on a raspberry Pi with the UPnPbridge plugin and it detects and works with the Plinius absolutely fine.

Certainly that's fair, will see if we can get to the bottom of it. Though keep in mind, the UPnP in the Plinius is still the one ultimately doing the playback. SenseUPnP implies streaming from one streamer over to another streamer via UPnP.
Compared to taking the direct audio output which is an actual PCM signal using the custom player engine in Sense will yield a different sound. Point being, you could use UPnP from any other controller and that is going to sound the same as UPnP via Sense which is a UI benefit, not sound one, in this configuration.
