When attempting to play back favorite tracks ......
When I select a previously liked track and start playing it, after its finished the application selects the next track randomly----- that is, not a sequential favourite track....
Also, attempting to scroll down through the favourites to view/search for something appears glitchy.....
Am I mis-operating the app....???

Hi Dave, the next track playing randomly may just be SmartQ kicking in - you can go to the SETTINGS menu and go to SmartQ and disable this.
As for the viewing of favourite tracks being glitchy, I am not aware of an issue with this - can you let me know the software version of the Innuos system you have, and which smart device (phone/tablet make and model) you are using?

Stephen,

Tnks for getting back so quickly....
Have a Zen Mini Mk.3, SW ver. is innuOS 3.3.7.
I'm controlling the Sense app using my HP ENVY laptop.

I've over 11700 tracks, and the app indicates I've 174 favourites (ie when "Heart" is selected.... )
On the app, I'm in Music/Tracks..... and with "Heart" selected or not, I get the same type of effect.....
i.e.----Scrolling down thru the tracks is not smooth or stable.....the list jumps back and forward (ie up and down)....
The order of the tracks appear to be numerical, then alphabetical....but occasionally, after scrolling and having seen the "Alphbetical" listing, the list jumps back to a numerical position.... ( as if the app may have a limited cache of memory to temp. hold the listing.....and tries to stabilise itself ????)
Did some more checks just now , and it may be that I'm too eager when scrolling thru....possibly causing the app confusion.....

Not a deal breaker---I may just have to operate the scrolling a little slower.....
( If it's any help, it's a touch screen----but I get the same effect when using the mouse to drag down thru the favourites listing......)

Hi, does this issue always occur or only during the library synchronisation proces? In that case it's the same issue I sometimes have, namely that scrolling jumps back to the album / track position I was when the sync began. Only after the sync has ended normal scrolling in possible again. I mentioned this issue some time ago, maybe it's the same ...? I use an iPhone (iOS 18.7.2) and a older Macbook Air (Safari 17.6), both having the same behavior.

For clarification......
when you mention "library synchronisation process"...... do you mean....
I'm playing a favourite track....
Then I want to search/scroll way, way down to find a different track .......
The tracks listings on screen then jump up/down /go blank before settling down again.....
And I may end near enough to the 1st track I was originally playing....
I've tried this scrolling thru Albums, and Artists and New Music......and these scroll perfectly.

If that's it, then yes we appear to both having the same "glitching".......
Maybe as I mentioned, it's down to the memory/cache allotted limitations / or the amount of tracks being scrolled thru /or the speed of scrolling which may be causing the issue......

So we're in the laps of the Cognoscenti as to whether a fix is warranted / do-able / viable, or maybe we will be advised to scroll slower...........

I'm not sure it's the same. I only have this scrolling issue while the message "updating library" is on screen (right lower corner in the webb browser). You can test this by going to 'System' => 'Storage' and then click 'Rescan'. This rescan starts the library update process and might take a bit longer depending on how big your library is. As long as the message 'Updating library' is visable I can't really scroll through my albums / tracks / artists. The system keeps jumping back to the same album. After the library update process has ended everything is fine again. Not really a problem.

I will have our QA team test this, as I also use an HP Envy laptop and have tried very rapidly scrolling through the Tracks view, and do not get 'snapping' back to the top of the list. Also tried on my Android Pixel 9 phone which also does not seem to do this. I tried both of these whilst performing a library rescan so that there was a system task running in the background, and that did not seem to alter anything.
This was on a ZENith Mk3 running a beta for 3.4. We will try to replicate this to see if we can find an underlying issue that perhaps relates to specific devices or browsers.
