Hi,
I am looking for advice to improve the sound rendering of my current configuration, namely: Zenith mk3 and Heed Lagrange with integrated DAC card.
What would you advise me ? A phoenix USB or a phoenix NET to obtain a substantial audible improvement, knowing that my budget does not allow me to acquire both.
Thank you for your feedback.

Personally I’d clean up the data stream from your modem/LAN feeding into the Zenith mk3.
I have both units and I believe the NET does more than the USB , but this is very DAC dependent.
There are other well regarded switch/filters, the Muon Pro or the Tempus (both from https://www.networkacoustics.com) I’d say are worth considering, and the Muon is cheaper than the NET. A longtime Statement user did a comparison between the 3 switches on another forum, perhaps Luca can comment? Cables are also important.

I ended up going with the Tempus switch but I liked the PhoenixNET for 3 years. I also owned the PhoenixUSB when I was using a ZENith MK 3, can’t remember between the two which one I liked more. I agree with Frank, it’s DAC dependent.

In your shoes I’d try a home trial with both of them in order to hear the difference before deciding.
