Hi @Stephen Healy,

as you know EU Schuko plugs can be very tricky to determine the correct phase. I have all my wall sockets installed by the electrician with phase on the right side hole. I have all my power cords checked to be sure that the phase on the IEC connector is like this:

Can you confirm me that my Innuos Statement NG sports the IEC inlet phase accordingly?

TIA

Hi @Stephen Healy… just in case you didn’t see my previous post here above.

Since a few weeks I’m noticing a buzz coming from the power supply of my Statement NG, never heard before.

It happens intermittently and especially while streaming. If I stop streaming for about 2 minutes (at the end of a playback) it turns again dead silent.

Before I start a listening session, when I’m at home after a working day, it is dead silent. Once I start playing music, it appears again.

I thought it was DC offset the culprit but other components in my system are still all silent as usual.

I haven’t changed anything recently, like fuses (Pink Faun 3.15 since 4 months). The Statement is always on, yes I also tried a few power cycles unsuccessfully.

Thank you as always for your kind answers.

Hi Luca, we indeed use the standard ISO norm for polarity, so the neutral and live pins will be aligned as per the image you provided.

A bit of toroidal hum is quite normal behaviour if there is slightly higher voltage on the mains intake (which can vary between regions and times of day) and would make sense that it is happening when the system is performing more tasks. But a 'buzz' sounds potentially a bit different from toroidal hum. Have you tried shutting down the system, turn off at the rear, disconnect mains and leave for 10 minutes to let the PSU fully drain?
