HELP ME...
Is there something wrong with my Statement NG,.I've asked before.

But if I turn it off,.first on the front button on the streamer unit.
And then on the back button on the power supply.
Then it won't start up again.

I have to keep doing as it says in your instructions, see below, many many times, last nine times.
Finally I turned everything off and also unplugged the power cord for five minutes.
When I plugged the power cord back in,.and turned on both power switches,.yes then it started up first.

Now I'm trying to get it to start again after changing the Umbilical cables.
I'm currently on the fourth attempt according to your instructions.
This Statement was upgraded to Statement NG in April 2023.

♦️Below are your instructions.
Due to the LPSU architecture of the Statement with Next-Gen LPSU, when the system is first turned on from the switch button on the back and clicked on the front button it may not boot properly meaning the white light stays on. This will only happen after first switching on the Statement NG using the switch on the back.

If you get a white light only and the system is not booting keeping the white light on, do the following procedure:

1. Keep the front button of the Statement NG pressed until the light goes off
2. Click the front button. The light will briefly flash on and off.
3. Click the front button again. The system should now boot normally.

We recommend the switch on the back of the Statement and Statement NG to be kept on all the time with exception if you need to move it or turn it off for a long period. This keeps the capacitors charged as well as both OCXO clocks for USB and Ethernet properly warmed up and stable. The motherboard itself is turned off and is not consuming power this way.

Now,.after seven restarts according to your instructions, I also unplugged the power cord.

Despite that,.my Statement NG won't start 😡.

What Should I Do, to get my Statement NG to start..??

Help me please...

Hi 🙂...

You also have a Statement NG.

Have you encountered your device behaving like mine..?
Tell me how you start up your Statement NG.
I have now been trying to start my Statement NG for 90 minutes.
This is unacceptable for a product that costs almost 24000 euros in Sweden.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

I can also tell you that last week after a 24 day interval,.when I always restart my Statement NG to maintain the best possible sound quality.

You should always do that,.if you don't know this.
The restart interval can vary depending on the product,.for my Zenith mk3 it was 17 days.
When I was going to restart my Statement NG last week as above, yes then my Synergistic Research Master Fuse broke.

Not funny as it cost 800 euros.
So something seems to be wrong with my Statement NG, now I've been trying to start it for 120 minutes.

Are you there..!!

Are you there..!!
⛔ NOW...
After 150 minutes,.and at least 30 restart attempts the blue LED came on.

BUT,.this is not how it should be, absolutely not.
So now you have to help me get this sorted out please...

I’m glad to hear you’re back up and running.

Personally, I wouldn’t recommend making rapid back to back comparisons between power cables / umbilicals on the Statement, especially if you’re using aftermarket fuse as In my experience, these (aftermarket fuses) are not particularly reliable, whereas the standard fuse performs perfectly well and wont be an expensive change if it does blow as you had previously. It’s better to leave each cable in for an extended period so you can get used to it before swapping again to compare.

When swapping, shut the system down and wait a minute before removing power from the unit.
Disconnect the leads and, with the system fully unplugged, hold down the power button for 20 seconds to discharge it
After that, wait a few minutes before reconnecting the power cables and turning on the rear power switch.
Wait another minute or so, then you can safely boot the system up.

Hi Dan...
Thanks for this advice.
I have had the same Synergistic Research best fuse,.Master Fuse in both my Zen mk3 and Zenith mk3 without any problems.
But with Statement NG it became problematic,.as you also say.
It is sad,.because SR Master Fuse contributes a lot in increased musical presentation.
It’s better to leave each cable in for an extended period so you can get used to it before swapping again to compare.
I am very used to making different comparisons, and often quickly hear which is the best direction etc. compared to my fellow listeners.
But apparently, as you say, I have to use a slightly different technique with Statement NG.
Thanks for that advice.
When swapping, shut the system down and wait a minute before removing power from the unit.
I'm asking a few questions so I know I've understood everything correctly Dan 🙂.
By above,.then you mean before I unplug the power cord from the power supply
Disconnect the leads and, with the system fully unplugged, hold down the power button for 20 seconds to discharge it
By above you mean the two umbilical cables between the streamer unit and the power supply.
AND,.that I should after that, hold down the power button on the streamer unit for 20 seconds.
After that, wait a few minutes before reconnecting the power cables and turning on the rear power switch.
Wait another minute or so, then you can safely boot the system up.
First the umbilical cables,.then the power cable, wait a few minutes and then turn on the streamer device.

Have I understood everything correctly then Dan.?
Asking because English is not my native language 😉.

Yes it has but just one or two times cant recall it right now.

Normally I never disconnect power to mine or switch it of on the backside but when I do if I go away for several days or so I use "shut down" from Sense app, when it is powered off I switch off the main breaker on the backside of my Statement. Then I power of the circuitbreaker in my electricalpanel that supplys my whole hifi system.

Then I just do it the opposite way when I power back up, circuitbreaker in electricalpanel, switch on the breaker on the backside on my Statement. After a short while I press the button on the front to bring on the white light that it is starting up and after a while it goes red and the machine is ready.

Powercycling something on and off several times in a short while with a larger transformer (540VA), two 10mH DC input chockes and nearly 500,000uF of capacitors will put distress on fuses as the current at startup is high and in the Statement much higher than in the the smaller Innuos products as they have much smaller PSU.

You need to have patience when powering down and up so the PSU can stabilize, let it be after you power down so the capacitors can discharge and after power on let it be for a while so everything is ready before you push the front button to bring it back on.

Hi...
I read on WBF that you have Sean Jacobs Umbilical cables for your Statement NG.

How did you perform the "burn in" on your Sean Jacobs Umbilical cables.?
Did you only leave your Statement NG on for 300 hours, or did you also play music 24/7 for 300 hours, which is the burn in time that Sean Jacobs recommends.?

▪️Maybe also Octaviars have these Sean Jacobs Umbilical cables...

❤️ @Octaviars @DanCollier
Many thanks to both of you for your reports.
Now I know how to act,.and at the same time I conclude that...
There is nothing wrong with my Statement NG,.which feels incredibly good to know.

Frankly I can’t remember exactly how many hours they need to burn in, certainly they took a while before reaching the best results. I use to play music during this process, as much as I can.
Anyway I immediately heard a significant difference just right out of the box. Openness, clarity and realism were the most impressive improvements.
Hope that helps.
