My Zenith Mk 3 has been disconnected for a number of weeks due to house renovations [ no power ] During that time there have been a number of updates. I hope to get reconnected in about two weeks. Will I be able to update to the latest version without going thru each upgrade step ?

Yes, the server will do all of the updates for you. You will not need to manually update to move from one version to the next in sequence. The server will need to install the updates in sequence, but it will be an automated process, so just get the initial update going and leave it for 10 or 15 minutes, and it should be all done and up to date.

Thank you Stephen. I have the Zenith Mk 3 and PhoenixNET and PhoenixUSB. I am considering upgrading to either the ZenithNG or the StatementNG.
Can you advise me about which is the best way to go as I intend to keep the both the PhoenixNET and the PhoenixUSB in my system.

Certainly, Brendan. You have a couple of options, but either way hang on to the PhoenixNET - it works miracles and is a benefit to all our streamers, and that of other brands.
If you went with the ZENith Next-Gen, you could order without the PhoenixUSB Lite module inside and hang on to your current PhoenixUSB, or if you like the idea of reducing the number of cables and boxes a bit, you could sell off your PhoenixUSB and order the ZENith Next-Gen with the USB module pre-fitted. The performance is pretty comparable which is why we generally don't suggest people using a standalone PhoenixUSB in conjunction with one of our products with the PhoenixUSB Lite module already in it.

The STATEMENT Next-Gen also completely has the PhoenixUSB built-in, and it is captive - it cannot be manufactured without this element or removed, so your PhoenixUSB would indeed become redundant and that could be sold off.

It might not be easy based on your location, but if you can audition the two through your own system then that would be best. We're of the opinion that the ZENith Next-Gen gives you a more neutral 'studio' kind of experience that does not over-emphasise anything . It is extremely accurate and revealing. However, the STATEMENT NG is also very strong in this regard and overall gives a more pleasing sound that perhaps adds a touch more character or dynamism, The ZENith NG is also the more versatile device from a long-term perspective, since its output stage can shift from USB to i2s etc, and you can expand your storage capacity without having to return to Portugal.

Thank you Stephen.
The ZENith NG looks like the way to go for me, keeping the PhoenixUSB. If I understand correctly I can output to my dac via usb or i2s

Greetings Stephen,
Like Brendan, I also have a Zenith Mk 3, PhoenixNET, and PhoenixUSB. My question is also about the ZENith NG: Currently, the website says the "Height" of the ZENith NG is 150mm (15cm) - see image below. Is that the actual (true) height with feet, or, is this number just a pre-production "proxy" placeholder (until someone updates the website with the actual production height)? I ask because 15cm seems very tall, given the heights of the legacy Innuos family of products. Also (question 2): what is the actual height of the ZENith NG not including the height of the feet (this information is for those who use high-grade aftermarket feet under the unit.)?

Thank you very much.

Well spotted Edwards, i think this is a typo because I have just measured and the height is 105mm, not 150mm. This includes the isolation feet, of which I would say is 18mm of the 105mm total. We'll correct our literature.
