This is normal behaviour - as soon as local files are detected, Sense begins assembling its own library database similar to how Roon does. This includes metadata look ups to get the artist images, their bios, make the connection of your local files to streaming services and so on. This takes time, and is quite dependant on network setup and speed. Also, there are thousand of artists to process in your case, so this would take awhile.
So the above only started when I added my stored music on my Nucleus. It’s been like this for 24 hours , so I removed my own albums from my library…….but it still appears to be trying to find or do something

Anyone shed any light on this and how I can maybe stop it

It appears the Innuos library is syncing information with the Nucleus (or copying it?). The number of artists remaining is reducing between the screen grabs so it may be it takes time to copy all the data across the systems. Perhaps let it run for a few days??
It does seem slow if it is simply a cross-fertilisation of databases.
Maybe reach out to Dan for assistance?

Thanks Frank , yeah I gave up after 36 hours , I mean it should not take that long
:)

I thought posting on the help section of the forum was reaching out to support, but I now know it’s not.
Dan was great helping me to find my Nucleus but the sense app did not work how I expected with my full library
So I now use ROON app and the Sense app.
The Pulse sounds amazing though so it’s not an issue

yes posting here is not “official” help, but it is good to post because others may have experienced similar and can offer help, plus others might have a similar problem in the future so it can be a reference. On top of that Dan and Stephen do look in and can/do sometimes offer assistance when all else fails.

Thanks for the reply Stephen. To be honest I did not like how the Sense app integrated my music files. The album sorting was not good, I think it is because the Sense app only has an album year not the actual date of the album release. Unfortunatley Roon does a better job in my opinion.
Its a shame as I love the sound from the Sense app, it really is better than Roon.
So I am uisng the Sense app in my headphone set up as this is where I do 95% of my listening now, and I will continue to use Roon with my speaker rig.
My headphone rig is my priority and the Pulse and Sense app have brought a big improvement so its all good :)
