With regards to upgrading a ZEN Next-Gen to a ZENith Next-Gen:

The upgrade from a Zen NG to a Zenith NG can only be performed by the Innuos team. In this case, the unit will need to be collected and shipped to our headquarters. The quotation we provide will therefore include both the upgrade itself and the shipping costs for collection and return of the system.

In order to prepare a quotation, Innuos will need the serial number (SN) of the unit and confirmation of whether the upgrade will keep the same specifications—namely, storage capacity and output type—or if any changes or additions are required. For example, whether a module/drive needs to be added or replaced with a different one.

Thanks Stephen. Ok so hypothetically… what would a quote likely to be in the region of (GBP) to upgrade a 2TB Zen NG with USB output module to 2TB Zenith NG with USB output module… i.e. all things being equal and the only thing being upgraded / changed is the Zen NG to Zenith NG? Not including P&P.

I ask the question just for future upgrade planning myself. Coming from a Zenith MK3 with USB Re-clocker I could make the jump to Zen NG (with USB output module) but would have to wait and save for a year or two before making the upgrade to Zenith NG so it would be good to have a roundabout idea of the sums involved.

Many thanks in advance.

The upgrade rule traditionally has been that the cost is simply the difference in RRP between what you currently have subtracted from what you will be upgrading to, plus shipping and labour.
So for example, if the RRP of the device you have is 10,000, and you are upgrading to a better version which has an RRP of 15,000, then the cost will be 5000 + labour and shipping (which can vary a little bit between locations and currencies).
If i recall correctly, this is what we did for ZEN Mk3 to ZENith Mk3, STATEMENT to Next-Gen PSU, and so on.
In your case Nick, this is a fairly simple calculation on the basis that you are not changing the storage or output module.
It is Innuos who will arrange both collection and return delivery using priority express courier. We always suggest returning the unit to the original dealer who can manage the logistics, administration and billing of the process on your behalf.
