STREAM Series Megapost

The Sense app is user-friendly, responsive, stable, and provides excellent sound quality. Innuos continues to add new features and further refine the app over time. Fwiw, I find it superior to Roon. It's a shame that although professional reviews of Innuos hardware abound, none include a review of this excellent software, at least that I'm aware of.

The Sense app is a key reason I chose Innuos over its many competitors. It's a bit baffling the company doesn't seem to promote it much.

In case you missed it: the Sense user guide is here: https://innuos.com/kbtopic/getting-started/
That’s great thank you.

Is the warranty transferrable if we buy a second hand Innuos?
Yes, the warranty follows the serial number of the device, rather than the original purchaser since we do not have a registration process.
Do note that technically the warranty is honoured and bound by the original dealer who sold the device, so if you buy a pre-owned unit from a private seller then I do recommend you ask which dealer it was originally purchased from.

Ok so a new Pulse is on its way to me . Will use it with Roon but also very keen to see and use the Sense app too.
If it merges my streaming services and my own library as well as Roon does I will be delighted

several weeks on the Stream3 and it has settled in nicely.

It's definitely better than the MU1 i was using previously. There are some songs where the details and ambiance pop out in such a way it's spooky :)

Currently have no reason to change things... it's the best by digital/streaming has sounded in years.
Great to hear!

I received and installed my first Innuos Stream 1 with LPS1, to be used as a music server for my Naim NDX2. I let it run for a week before making a critical judgment. Previously, I had a QNAP with a linear power supply.

Sorry if i missed this somewhere, but curious if there's a good checklist of comparison between:
Stream3 vs Zen/Zenith Next-Gen

Don’t know about all of Stream but the power side is fairly identical I believe.

It should be largely covered in the megathread that's been mentioned above, but the key differences will be the NGaN regulation stage, the heavily tuned PreciseAudio board, and higher processing power that also allows for AudioCore - all of which are significant improvements.

@Stephen Healy could you compare a zenith Mk. 3 vs. Stream 1. The only reason for a change would be the SPDIF board, as I'm currently using an external DDC to achieve a co-ax signal. Is there a dealer near us (I'm in Brighton) that could demo with the board?

I'd certainly recommend the demo, the nearest dealer in Brighton would be Audio T so perhaps give the chaps there a call. It would need to be with the accompanying LPS1 to help make it a more fair demo; i do not expect a STREAM1 on its own to out-perform a ZENith Mk3. The STREAM3 would certainly be the more outright upgrade, but it would be worth trying out the STREAM1 + LPS1 nonetheless.

Can you help me please, I have a Zen Mini mk3 + LPSU running into a Denafrips Pontus 15th Edition DAC and it sounds great but.....
I was looking at upgrade step but cannot afford to buy Stream 3 and the Stream 1 + new LPSU is around £3.5K for a 2TB SSD drive without any of the option boards. I do rip CD's still to my Zen Mini so would need to buy a decent optical drive to rip from for the Stream 1.
There is the option of going for a second hand Zenith Mk3 and some are coming on the market now as people upgrade, how does a Zenith Mk3 compare the new Stream 1 +vLPS1 combo ?
Would an older Zenith still be a good improvement over my current set up? I cannot afford a New Generation Zenith or Zen unit.
Thanks
