Pulse mini stuck in update download

Pulse mini has been stuck in the update download at 59% for about 10 hours. Innuos website warns against turning off the device but online searches recommends hard shutdown and restart. Not sure to do shutdown or is there another option??

Fortunately the outage was probably of no impact or consequence. Sometimes it is a simple case of the UI not refreshing to it appears to be 'stuck' This can happen if navigating away from the app, and especially possible if using a web browser which has a tendency to not refresh and putting the tab on idle. In other words, a launch of the app/UI is sometimes all that is needed.
