Hi,I haven't seen any mention of this upgrade online recently, and with the Statement NG now discontinued, I've been wondering if the upgrade has been discontinued. Thanks.
Thanks, Dan, for the response. As my Statement is an "original," I think it's trade-in value is kind of low in relationship to newer Innuos models. I take a look at the Zenith Next Gen option, though, just to see what my options are.Hi,
Yes we are still offering it for the time being, I have no scope on when this will cease but it should continue for some time yet!!!.
Of course, one thing to consider as an alternative is to trade in your original Statement towards a ZENith Next Gen which does offer similar performance amongst the other new upgrades and support scope.
Hi, Dan. I've looked further into some options for upgrading to Statement NG performance. We have the original Statement-> Statement NG upgrade through Innuos, still available as you've mentioned, and this seems to be the most economical option. There are also some Statement NG's available through resellers via purchase and/or trade-in. Are there significant changes in the factory-built Statement NGs that are not included in the Original Statement upgrade that you offer?Hi,

Thanks for the detailed explanation, Stephen. That totally clarifies my options!A STATEMENT Next-Gen that is built from the factory is, component-by-component, just the same as an original STATEMENT that had the upgrade treatment. The only real difference to factor in is that an original STATEMENT will retain its chassis, motherboard (with SSD and RAM) and Phoenix output. Virtually all the other changes are all to do with the PSU which is basically a complete and total overhaul.
This does mean that an 'upgraded' STATEMENT to Next-Gen PSU will have differing warranty periods. Example; an original STATEMENT built in 2020 that gets a Next-Gen PSU upgrade in 2026 will only receive new warranty coverage on the new PSU parts fitted - the board, SSD, RAM etc all still originate from 2020.
There is no difference in the processing stage which means the software and feature longevity (or support for Sense updates, in other words) will be just the same between STATEMENT Std and STATEMENT NG.
So to answer a bit more simply, the only real implications between a full unit swap-out via a dealer trade-in, or a return-to-factory upgrade, is basically warranty duration/coverage. Sound quality? Functionality? They're the same.
Malc, I think you're right that a Zenith NG would be similar in sound quality to an upgraded Statement NG, but my original Statement (vintage 2/2021) only commands a 15% trade-in value. That would still leave the swap to a Zenith NG as costing north of $22K, which is well-above what I can currently afford and better than double the quoted Statement NG "power upgrade." So, for the foreseeable future, I need to continue to enjoy my standard Statement to the fullest...and it still is quite good! I recently installed some homemade deep (11", with a 6" air gap) acoustic panels/bass traps that have proved to be a game-changer, too.At that price you may be better trading in against a Zenith NG, not sure how the U.S. prices are with this. I'm actually surprised that a trade to the Zenith NG wasn't accommodated in the recent Innuos Statement to Nazare trade up offer, it would seem a sensible way to keep customers in the Innuos camp going forward.
I wasn't sure of prices in the U.S. In your position I would do the exact same thing, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your Statement it's an excellent bit of kit.Malc, I think you're right that a Zenith NG would be similar in sound quality to an upgraded Statement NG, but my original Statement (vintage 2/2021) only commands a 15% trade-in value.
