We have always strived to make the Sense app accessible to as many users as possible by supporting older iOS versions, starting as far back as iOS 13.2.
However, we have reached a stage where these older devices are now obsolete and we cannot support them anymore, nor can they facilitate the new features we plan for future Sense App updates.
For this reason, Sense requires Apple devices to be running iOS 16.6 or above.
We understand this change may affect some users, and we truly appreciate your understanding as we make this necessary adjustment to improve the app experience. If you have any questions or need assistance, our support team is here to help.

I understand why Innuos are saying this Stephen but I would not call my iPhone SE (ios 15.8.3) “obsolete” - Apple won’t release new iOS updates (other than security) but I use it every day & after having a new battery it’s like new !!

I raised an issue in the last couple of weeks about search aborting since latest releases of Sense & the app - an initial response noted my older version of iOS as a potential issue but subsequently it’s been acknowledged that there is a bug that’s not related to my older iOS
… so my point is - Innuos, please don’t immediately disregard issues due to older versions of iOS - in many ways it’s more stable than whatever the latest bleeding edge version Apple releases !

You may not call your SE obsolete but Apple would. Not just because it won’t take iOS updates but because you’re about to be out of battery options. Next time you want a battery you may find there’s no option.

Mike, I am heartened to know that my lovely iPhone SE is termed "vintage" status by Apple and has not get reached "obsolete" status ... won't be long though. I just had a battery replaced by my local Apple accredited service centre & he told me batteries will be available for a long time to come.

I think you’ll find that’s BS. My local reseller says SE batteries will be done for within the yearns can take more than a month to source.

I’ve taken two legacy devices for battery changes recently and been advised there was no such option as one device was legacy and one was obsolete. Sigh.

How do you mean BS ? ... my wife & I each have SE 1st Gen ... I know I'll have to replace them soon (laptops from same era too) but the reality is it all keeps working for the stuff we use them for ... we had batteries replaced in both SE's recently by these guys https://www.macsimple.co.uk/ ... very reasonable too
