Album Merge Issue on Sense

Hi, I am totally enjoying Sense and Innous. I am new to the Brand and it's made all the difference streaming with my Aperio. I am having an issue with the merge album feature. It works sort of on and off. Sometimes it just merges the selected albums. Other times the merge album selection is grayed out and can't be selected at all. I notice this when I sat down after loading my files and started to look for albums I could merge. Seems like if you do a couple then the system needs time before it will be available again? Also when you try more than3 albums I notice it even more? I have a strong fast, direct connected internet (not wi-fi) so I considered that but don't think that's it? Anyone with similar or thoughts?

Solution
After a lot of stress testing i believe we have found a scenario where this problem does indeed arise - it is now added to our backlog of bug fixes. Thanks for the feedback!
I run Sense an Apple iPad running 17.7.1 iOS. And yes, I also get the error message, “Something unexpected occurred” when I try to merge albums using the Chrome browser on my Mac Mini running OSX running Sonoma 14.6.1. By the way, on the Safari browser, my.innuous.com will not find my Zen, even after restarting the Zen as well as the Mac.
Thank you for the prompt help!

Okay, and this is presumably happening on every single album merge you try? These albums are all stored on the ZEN, and are CD quality FLAC files? We will look to try and replicate this on our side, but want to make sure we are using like-for-like conditions to what you are trying.

Thanks, Stephen. I went back and looked and realized the merge and edit fails were mostly on DSD files. They are huge — 2 GB is small for these — and maybe the producers (NativeDSD and Octave Studios) are following an unusual metadata format. I might try reloading the files into my library and see if the issues are reproduced. As I’ve worked on organizing my library I’m finding that most of my issues can be resolved. Also, I’m saving as WAV. With 2TB on my Zen Mk2, I don’t see why not. I’m very happy with my Zen and also the Sense app.

I downloaded and imported one of the problematic files again, and it now displays properly. So I’ll assume a corrupted file. Thanks for working on it. However, I am still getting the “Something Unexpected Occurred” error when attempting to merge albums in Sense. I’ll try reinstalling the app.

Out of curiosity, were the DSD files .DSF or .DFF? DFF files are notoriously uncooperative so that could be worth keeping in mind, but DSF should be fine.
Perhaps go to the Settings -> Advanced Settings and run the Compact Music Library Database which might help with some of these performance quirks.
