Accessing and Downloading files from server, outside home network

Hi All,

I was wondering if there has been any whispers of Roon Arc functionality for Innuos Sense.

If there is nothing on the horizon, has anyone found it easy enough to dial into their server remotely, without the need to access a different computer on their home network to be able to download said files?

I have cloud storage (iDrive) which I backup my server to. However, it is pretty terrible to download files from there: you cannot download by folder and the files contained within said folder, but have to click a dropdown to download each file (flac) one by one.

My use case is to have access to music that is not available on Qobuz but is on my Innous Server, and to download that on to my phone for use with USB Audio Player Pro

Hi Alpesh,
Although I am not very familiar with iDrive, that looks to me more as just a general data backup mechanism. You would probably get a better experience by getting a NAS that comes with Personal Cloud facilities, as that will at least have more media-friendly software that might lend itself to music files and management, You could have the Innuos backup its files to this NAS which would make it all fairly easy to maintain.
This does assume that you will have good network access wherever you go when it comes to streaming it remotely. You might just be better off getting a phone that has sufficiently large enough internal storage to just copy all the music files into that via a PC from the Innuos. Or invest in a Digital Audio Player to take with you?
But as far as a feature like 'Arc' but for Sense, I can say with quite a high degree of certainty that will not be developed.

Thanks Stephen

Yes, I've already got a NAS drive set-up though one without a personal cloud.
I keep my Innuos server on 24/7 whereas the NAS only for back-up purposes (and thus not 24/7).

This is why I was looking to connect to my Innuos server remotely.

Not a problem.. was just looking for a simple solution if it existed ;)
