I'm trialling a Linn Akurate DSM3 later this week, my music is on my HDD in my Zen MK3 which I will keep as a "NAS" with ripping function etc, my Q is, do I physically connect both together via ethernet?
I'd like to keep using Sense too as I find it fantastic.
I only listen to my own local files, ripped from my CD's.
Cheers

Hi Paul,
The Streamer port on the back of the ZEN is there for the convenience of adding a streamer such as the Linn DSM, so you can connect the Linn to that which saves you the need of introducing a network switch in to the system.
To keep using Sense app is a little more complicated; the primary audio output of the ZEN is USB, but the Linn does not have USB input from my understanding. This means you will need to put the ZEN into 'SenseUPnP' mode and choose the Linn as a receiver. This will allow you to use Sense app to 'push' audio to the Linn over the network, rather having to use the Linn app to 'pull' music which would ordinarily be the case with any UPnP server & streamer. Keep in mind this is a slightly experimental feature, so do test it for a few days and see how you get on.
