Unable to play Native DSD on a DSD capable DAC

Hi all,

I just acquired a new DAC which is capable of playing DSD files up to 512kh. It looks like my Zen Mini does not think the dac can play DSD files.

Dac is the Audio Music Dac 1

The dac is not listed on the Known Compatible Native DSD DACs list, however it is based on the Amanero – Combo384 USB implementation, which is listed as compatible. DSD plays fine on my Pontus II.

Connection is Zen direct to the DAC1 via USB.

Hi Walter,

Check with your manufacturer if the firmware on the Amanero interface can be updated. There are cases where this update is required in order to play Native DSD. You can still use DoP that will play DSD natively, albeit limited to DSD128 on most DACs.
