Is it enough to connect the Stream 3 to a Nordost Qnet switch-on which a dCS Vivaldi upsampler and a Melco N5 library are also connected-to stream music from those two devices? Or should I also connect the usb output of the Innuos to the upsampler as well?

Hi Antonios, yes you would need to connect the STREAM3 by USB to the Vivaldi Upsampler so that it has a direct audio output, Ethernet alone would not be enough in this sense. You have potentially two server-streamers available to you there with the Melco as well, but you could defer the Melco to being Storage only and have the STREAM3 read from it, then output to the dCS. That would make most sense in the context of what you describe.

Thank you. So there is no way to have the Stream 3 to work with ethernet connection alone, correct?

Correct - SenseUPnP would technically allow this but I would not rely on that exclusively. Alternatively, run the STREAM3 as a Roon Core and have it function essentially just as a controller.
I'd expect you to get the best performance by having your TIDAL account added to Sense on the STREAM3, have it monitor the Melco as a NAS share, and stream out via USB into the dCS.

you see, I want to compare the build-in streamer of the dCS to the Stream 3

I follow this exact procedure, having to do manual configuration, but every time after the second step, the Melco library still does not appear. Please take note, that as a test, I tried to access the Melco library from my computer by putting the credentials and it worked fine.
If the next step seems to take you to an 'empty library' then this would suggest the wrong credentials being entered - there should be no issues mapping it a shared folder. Did you manage to get it configured in the end?

You mentioned needing to do a manual configured to add the Melco - what was the network path/destination that you entered? It is possible that this part was incorrect, whilst the security credentials were otherwise fine.
I entered the word Music and the word Import. Both appear sequentially when I access the Melco from my laptop or the Mosaic app.

The network path for the Melco would need to be more specific, along the lines of this:
\\MELCO\share\music\import

I am not sure of the exact path, you would need to check that via your PC on the network, but that would be the format of the network path.
