Hi @Brian, I would suggest adding this over on the Feature Request part of the site and under the DSP / EQ request, as what you describe is volume normalising which requires something called 'Replay Gain', which is where the volume is digitally adjusted based on extra data that is found on the local files to compensate for different recording levels. We do not use this currently as we have a bitperfect 'pristine' approach for playing files/streams in the exact format they are found.

Thanks Stephen for your reply and providing me with a better understanding . If this feature requires ripping a copy which is not bit perfect, would this impact/detract from the SQ of the ripped music?
