Will be getting the Pulse model soon. I am sure I read that a remote control can be used with it, but I cant seem to recall where .
There is none with the unit I assume. Although I will use the Sense app or Roon I do tend to put the IPad down once I start to listen. However I do sometimes like to skip a track so I do use my Eversolo remote with my current DMPA6.
Can someone enlighten me on whether I will be able to use a remote with the Pulse

I don't believe such a thing exists but I could be wrong.
I think once you've familiarised yourself with the rather excellent Sense app you won't be giving remote controls a second thought.
Chances are you might also conclude that Roon is no longer necessary - the app is that good!

Thanks for the reply.
I would still like to use a remote control as stated above. When I start an album or playlist I put the IPad down. So occasionally I will want to use a remote.

I have found where I read it, its on the Innuos webiste on the Pulse product page, so it must be possible.

The only means by which I think you could achieve this would be through some kind of Logitech remote that has network control over selected Squeeze players, but to my knowledge they have not made one of these for years. The commands would still come over the network through, not by IR. Devices like PULSE and Mk3 have have no IR receiver, nor would they be able to accept one connect by USB.

If it’s aimed at me; the question back then was in regard of me deciding to upgrade my Zenith mk3 to a Stream 3. In the end I decided against it. The Zenith is just that good!

Can you link to this please, as this is not correct - only the STREAM series will have support for an IR remote that we can provide.
There is no remote control support for the PULSE series.
I think you are right. It’s not on the pulse page.
I was considering both products so I must have got mixed up.
That’s a bit of a blow for me as I do prefer to have that option, but it’s not the end of the world

Thanks for all of the replies

In case anyone wants to try it; here’s an addon for a remote to control LMS. It does basic commands like play/pause/next etc etc but won’t let you browse your library (yet).

It sees my Zenith, the basics work, but past these functions I haven’t tested it. Thought it would be worth mentioning here.
