Queue and Playlist editing

Sense 3.2 introduced the ability to select multiple tracks in the queue and this was later extended to playlists. This is very useful, but it came at the cost of losing the drag and drop approach for individual tracks. In some cases, that remains much more efficient: to move a track in a playlist, drag and drop is very fast and efficient. Doing the same thing now requires selecting it, then click on move, then click on the new location... If you want to move several tracks to distributed locations that becomes very cumbersome. (To obtain random distribution, one can send the playlist to the queue then select shuffle and resave the playlist as shuffled, but this works only for random distribution.)

Is there any way to bring back drag and drop without losing the multiple track selection capability? Have both ways available?

Yes, this is something that we have indeed considered, we just need to find the smoothest way of having the two options together without clashing. At the moment there are two-ways to access the the current 'checkbox' method; firstly by using the MultiSelect menu, or secondly by going via Edit Playlist. Perhaps the latter option would give the drag and drop option. What do you think?

Yes that would be an elegant solution! MultiSelect is quite natural for selecting with checkboxes, and Edit is what I would do for moving around the tracks... You have the solution there as it remains quite intuitive.
