I now seem to have Qobuz Connect enabled with the new 3.3.0 firmware for my Zenith Mk3.

Can anyone explain the benefits of it over the sense app or web interface? Am I likely to hear any improvement in sound quality if I initiate a track from the Qobuz app on my Windows laptop or my Android phone?

It's entirely down to choice really, we would not anticipate much, if any, sonic difference between the two. If you want the unified library on Sense, then stick with that. But if you preferred using the native Qobuz for whatever reason, you now have the option to use that. There is no right or wrong answer!

Thanks for your reply Stephen.

One thing I have noticed about Qobuz Connect, for both the Android app and the Windows desktop, is that I can now control the volume from the Qobuz app, whereas I couldn't from the Sense app/web page. It's not a big deal for me, but I had always understood that a digital volume control required extra processing, hence slight deterioration of sound quality.

Is it fair to say that the direct digital pass-through of the Sense app is preferable to the extra processing in the Qobuz chain (however that works....)

You can control the volume through TIDAL and Spotify in the same way as with Qobuz. However, Qobuz uses specific DRM, which required the development of a custom player, this is why it appears differently within Sense compared to TIDAL or Spotify Connect.
If you leave the volume set to 100% in Qobuz (the default setting), the same volume level will be reflected in Sense.

Feedback so far has been varied on preference, of course its entirely up to whatever the end user prefers, I myself prefer using Sense in my system as it has the edge for me :).

Thanks.

Also, is it understood that many albums just seem to throw errors during playback? I estimate that something like a third of the albums I try to kick off from the Windows Qobuz app just seem to do nothing but raise an error message
