In a pinch, could a pulse mini in standalone mode act as a server to endpoints in a multi room set up

Yes it could - it may depend a little on what those other endpoints are in your setup, but yes Sense can play through the PULSEmini but then output that instead to another Innuos streamer or device running Squeeze.

I'm doing it the other way round - statement ng in one room and output into pulse mini in another room. Sounds great and easy using sense to control both
