Problems with <My Library> on merged Artists, seems mainly to be if the name consist of “in/In” and “of/Of”.

I have problems with several Artists that I have merged, the name differs slightly between my local files and Qobuz.

One example below, it looks ok clicking on the Artist in the Artist view.


Clicking on my album, "The Peel Sessions" (Artist originally named "Band of Susans"), it works to click on the Artist name to go back to the same view as above.


However, If I click on a Qobuz-album and then tries to go back by clicking on the Artist name


I end up here, which seems to be the proper Artist page, but no albums in <My Library> is shown.


Searching for "band of susans" indicates that the merge of "Band of Susans" was done to some fictive Artist "Band Of Susans" and not to the proper one.

I think this is a question of links;
When you choose The Peel Sessions, this is a local file album. So, when you click on the Artist name it is taking you back to the artist page formed out of your local files in Sense.
When you choose Love Agenda which is a Qobuz album, then consequently when you click on the artist name it is taking you to the Qobuz artist page.
As far as the Sense library goes, it does seem to have merged your Qobuz and local albums under a single Artist page so I would say has merged correctly.

The behavior is different. Most of the Artists that I have merged always shows <My library> and all albums, that is all my local albums and all Qobuz albums that I have added. It doesn’t matter which artist link or view, it always shows <My library>.

In the cases that fails, like Band Of Susans, <My library> is only shown if I click on the Artist in the Artists View or the Artist link from my local albums. Clicking on the Artist link on a Qobuz album, <My library> isn’t shown at all. I then need to go back to the Artists View to find the Artist again (or use <back> when it works).

So if Band of Susans (and others) has been merged correctly I think the behavior should be the same as all merged Artists that do work, but it isn’t.

Understood - i was able to replicate this. The problem seems to only occur after the local files have been renamed to match the same character case as a Qobuz entry. It seems if Sense correctly pairs local and Qobuz artists the first time round, this problem does not occur.
I have raised this with the development team who will begin investigating this soon.
