No album art pushed to Naim streamer

I use Sense to push streams from my Innuos Statement to my Naim ND555, but a few months ago it stopped pushing album art. I can see album name and track info but instead of album art, there is a generic image in its place. I have tried using Native UPNP to push the art using the Naim app but that doesn't help. I can see the art in Sense but not in the Naim app or on the streamer display. Same for stored music and internet streams.

Both Naim and Innuos are running latest software, I have cleared the image cache for Naim (cant see how to do it in the Innuos any more) and reset and re-downloaded the apps. The music file structures havent been changed, art (jpeg) hasn't moved....it used to work fine but one day it didn't. It has been like this for several months and I cant remember if it was after a firmware update or not. Regardless, both Naim and Innuos had firmware updates since it began.

Any ideas?

Bump - any ideas why I cant see album art from the Statement on my Naim streamer? Also, I can see the Statement in the Naim app but cant see the contents of any of the folders, which I could previously.

This may have come in when we did an overhaul of SenseUPnP a few months in one of the software updates, and you may have seen in the Streamer Configuration section there is a specific option you can try to enable sending Album Art etc via UPnP.
However, if you tried using the native Naim app to play files as well and does not get album art either, then i suspect the problem is wider than SenseUPnP, as I don't see why the Naim would be unable to either. I'm not sure if they have changed anything in their software relating to how they find artwork, if they can find it embedded in the music files themselves or just look for a .jpeg in the folder with the music files themselves.

Thanks for the reply Stephen.

I do have the “display track data on streamer” option selected.

I can only use the Naim app to play internet radio, and in that case it does display the art. I cant use the Naim app to play any files stored on the Innuos as, although it shows the Innuos as a connected server, it doesn’t show any files, as though the Innuos is empty.

The Naim app should be able to see all the files through UPnP. Is the 555 on its latest firmware?
As a slightly more robust workaround, I might suggest getting a USB to Coaxial converter such as the M2Tech HiFace 2 so that the streaming duties are fully handed over to the Innuos as the 555 becomes solely a DAC.

It used to see the files. Now it sees the Innuos server itself (which seems to indicate UPnP is working to an extent) but not the files on it.

The Naim FW is up to date. The same problem was evident on the last couple of FW versions too.

Might this be. UPnP issue? Is there any way to check/update /reset/reload the UPnP server software?

Like Stephen mentioned, I too would recommend getting a USB to Coax adapter, this would give you the most optimal sound quality and stability from your Innuos system with your Naim being just the Dac in the chain.

Regarding the music on your system not appearing in the Naim app, are you sure you have NativeUPnP enabled? Check the UPNP settings page in Sense.

Thanks Dan, UPnP is enabled. Innuos wont show up as a connected streamer without UPnP being enabled.

As much as I enjoy my Statement, I prefer the ND555 as a streamer and would live without album art before using it as a DAC only.

Since this worked previously, I am hoping to figure out what has changed so it can be rectified, rather than looking for a workaround that could compromise other areas.
