Today, I updated to V 3.4.0, which has resulted in some lag when scrolling though my library. Previously, all of the album artwork was visible immediately when scrolling but there is now a small delay while the artwork is populated. If I start from the last albums then scroll from Z to A, the lag is much worse. This happens when using my iPad, phone or a web browser. Once I have finished scrolling, everything is fine but it’s a little frustrating that this has only happened since the update. Is anyone else experiencing such issues?

I have noticed this too. A slight backward step, which surely should have been picked up in beta testing.

Thanks for the replies. The issue is more noticeable with the IOs version, particularly when scrolling from Z to A. I wish there was a way to restore the previous version, which i assume can only be done by a factory reset.

I'm unable to replicate this on my system, its very snappy for me on my PC and via my Galaxy S24+
This can be very network dependant, especially if your library includes lots of music from streaming services.

How large are your libraries and do you have a lot of music from Tidal/Qobuz integrated perhaps?
What devices are you using to control your system?

I only have 755 albus in my library. 572 are stored on my Melco server and the remaining 183 are on Qobuz. Yesterday, I removed a number of albums from Qobuz as I had purchased them and didn't want them showing twice.

I primarily use an iPad, although I do use my Galaxy S24+ sometimes, and the web version if I need to do any editing.

I used the filter to display only music stored on my server but this made no difference.

I have a Melco network switch and cables so I believe my network is not the issue, particularly as I now have fewer albums in my library than I had prior to the update. Everything was fine with the previous version.

I would highly recommend you import your library to the Stream 3 directly, it will perform and sound better and overall be more convenient than using the Melco as a NAS such as not needing to perform a full rescan whenever you make any changes to your Melco library as one example.

We'll look at this however.

Thanks however I don't have any storage installed and I don't want to forego the Melco. I understand your point about rescanning but I really do not find this inconvenient, especially as this was more cumbosum with my previous streamer.

Also, and to clarify, everything is fine once all of the artwork is populated and the screen remains on. However, if the screen is turned off, either be me or automatically, the lag returns. Same thing happens if I exit the web browser and reopen it.

In my case I have about 4,500 albums (c. 3Tb) stored on my Zenith Mk3. I don't use streaming services. UI is an ipad mini 6 (latest os) and a Dell i5 laptop for web access. The slight lag happens on both interfaces, but it's not a major problem.

Using a Zenith Mk. 3. Accessing via new iPad Pro and iPhone 12 Mini both on latest iOS. I tend not to randomly scroll but had cause to yesterday and, yes, there is a lag which wasn’t there before. I can’t say it’s an end of days issue but it doesn’t leave a positive impression. About 1,500 albums faced on Qobuz. 1,700 ripped locally.
