Hi,

I would like to buy a high quality audio streamer to listen free online Internet radio stations and also for playback of media files stored on usb flash drives and PC hdds from my local network.

I am not Interested at subscription streaming services like Roon, Qobuz, Tidal, etc.

I would like to ask support or experienced users for confirmation that we can Input Individual stream ( host address ) for online Internet radio station that are free to use, and not already stored on some kind of 3rd part apps like tune In.

Looking at features for Pulse mini - It Is noted for Sense application - Internet radios with easy preset creation

I am Interested at buying Innuos Pulse mini streamer.

regards

Yes, this can work as long as it is a dedicated stream URL, rather than an entire website address that would work only for a PC. If you give me an example of a station you are thinking of, I can try it out for you and let you know.

I would also advise to seriously consider a ZEN series product that has internal storage that can house all of your digital file collection, as this will work MUCH better through Sense app than using various separate USB and NAS drives which will not all behave quite the same way.

Stephen,
Thank you for reply.
I Intend to use Pulse mini for listening to digital audio files (Wav, Flac, Ape, Mp3) stored on a WD HDD on a PC on local network. Is that not recommended ?

WAV, FLAC, and MP3 will be fine. APE will not work, so you may need to convert these.
The PULSEmini can indeed stream these from the PC if the PC is functioning as a NAS with the folder of music mounted and publicly shared (and assuming you are okay to leave that PC powered on).
This will work fine and is preferred over connecting a USB Drive straight into the back of the PULSEmini. Just keep in mind that as and when you add more music to the folder of Music on the PC, on Sense app you will need to perform a rescan of that NAS folder. By comparison, if it was a ZEN-series with internal storage then the library would update instantly when new files are imported into its internal storage.
