How could I change the background covers within the Sense app under Genres and Tags?

I don’t think you can currently. Maybe request this with Innuos? They have implemented many changes requested by users.

deleted an album from my library but the cover remains as background for a genre…

I’m not sure how this works, the covers chosen seem pretty random.

yes it seems so, do you think a solution would be a factory reset?

Possibly, though that seems a bit extreme! Of course you need to have a backup if you do that,preferably two, and the backup may still transfer the cover you don’t want…I’m not sure.

have not so a large library as I am a beginner, could start from scratch if I want to....
