Files overwritten

A number of music files on my Zenith Mk III have been overwritten such that all attempts to play them produce only static. There was one local power outage a week or so ago, but as far as I can recollect I haven't tried to play these files since then. The damage is confined to about half a dozen sequentially listed (and stored?) files. I've not found any others after spot-checking of the remainder, but I have not gone through all the rest. I do have a backup, so recovering what's been lost won't be a problem, but I thought that perhaps before I do anything like that a health-check would be in order? Kindly let me know how to proceed.

Many thanks as always.

Solution
If the affected music are in a particular sequence or in fact contained to the contents of one folder, it could simply be there was a corruption of some kind during the transfer process, which can more easily happen if transferring over the network. If possible, I would say just try to another attempt of copying over the affected music from your original source/backup via the PC, and give it another test.
