In Progress Sense 3.4 Beta Testing

With SenseUPnP at version 3.4.0-7 beta playing to Naim NSS33 streamer, I pressed pause in Sense but the streamer jumped to the next track played 40 seconds of that track and skipped on the next track. It repeated this to the end of the album and started to repeat from track 1, playing 40...

    INNUOS vs USB-cables

Thanks @Midway, I have a Manunta HiFace USB to SPDIF converter that I use occasionally with a Naim DAC. However, my cat climbed up the back of my hifi stack and pulling on the cable to the Manunta converter bent it out of shape. I don't think it is usable now. I haven't managed to find a...

    INNUOS vs USB-cables

I would be interested to know if some folk are using USB to S/PDIF DDC (digital to digital) conversion boxes to connect to a DAC that does not have a USB B input and what they recommend. Hoping this is not too much a thread digression for you @Peder otherwise I could open a new thread on that topic.

    INNUOS vs USB-cables

Chord Clearway 1.5m USB cable in use here, not too expensive.

Which Dac do you find works best with your Innuos

I agree with your sentiment about am I engaged and enjoying this. I was using a USB lead from an old printer and felt there must be an improvement to be had. Now I have found it I don't intend to spend more on cables.

Which Dac do you find works best with your Innuos

What cables do people use to connect their Innuos product to a DAC? I have recently upgraded my USB cable connecting the Zen to the Chord Qutest with a Chord Company Clearway USB A to B and added Chord Shawline analogue cables to connect the DAC to my amplifier. I am pleasantly surprised with...

    SenseUPnP: Feedback Thread

Hi @michaelb, I have an album of DSF files recorded at DSD64 and these do not stream to the NACn272 when the configure streamer setting is DSD support on. The first track is tried for five seconds and then restarts ad-infinitum. This could be a feature of the Naim 1st gen streamer architecture...

    SenseUPnP: Feedback Thread

Hi @michaelb I have DSD off. I have a few files locally that are DSD64 so I will give it a try tomorrow with DSD on.

    SenseUPnP: Feedback Thread

    - Zen mk3 at Sense 3.2.1. - Streaming to Naim NAC-n 272 - streamed with compatibility off, support DSD off, and display track data off, max sample rate 192000 - My issue is when streaming from Qobuz, I play an album, but at the end of each track the same track plays over again. Pressing next...

    SenseUPnP - Looking for feedback

At 3.2.0-4: Thank you for enabling a mute function with the volume control.

    SenseUPnP - Looking for feedback

I installed the 3.2.0-3 beta recently. I like the way the UPNP setup has been simplified. It is possible to use the Naim app or Sense to play from the Zen server, very nice. I don't have to change the setup in Sense for one app or the other to be used. The UPNPBridge player has settings in...

    SenseUPnP - Looking for feedback

Please scrub my point 4, I know what I did now. I set a max volume setting in the Naim of 50%. So each change of the Naim volume is now 2% of the total. Resetting the Naim max volume allowed to 100% solves the difference in the Naim and Sense volume displays. I still like the 3.2 beta UPNP...

    SenseUPnP - Looking for feedback

3, The flip side of my earlier point 2 is when the Naim has been muted, Sense cannot bring the Naim out of mute. 4, The feedback of volume level from Naim into Sense is nice, but I have managed to get the volume numbers out of step between the Zen and Naim. The volume number in Sense is 2x the...

    SenseUPnP - Looking for feedback

A couple of small points: 1, the volume control in Sense controls the streamer/preamp output volume which is nice. A setting of 100 is deafening. There is a max volume setting inside the NAC272 software which I needed to use to ensure I don't go too loud. It may be good to have a maximum volume...

    SenseUPnP - Looking for feedback

My feedback is positive so far. After installation of the beta I searched for streamers and found my Naim NAC272 within a few seconds. After some trial and error I settled on compatibility mode and maximum frequency 44.1Khz. The streamer just hissed and stopped outside of compatibility mode (I...
