Periodically my zen ng will act like it is going to start playing music but does not. the timer marks off nine seconds then goes back to zero and starts over. Other times the track does not play and the timer goes to the end as if the track played. If I restart the problem usually goes away and I can play music normally until it happens again. any suggestions for fix please?

This suggests the player encountering a problem of some type, or even losing communication with the DAC. Can you let me which output module you have, which DAC you have connected, and if this is happening across any types of files or resolution or, for example, only seems to happen with DSD files etc?
Phoenix literally dcs Vivaldi dac. I have not noticed a particular file type but I will pay more attention to that
Just happened again with a file that played last night. I had paused it to go to bed. Started it again this morning and did the 9 seconds and restart behavior. Restarted system and playing again. Forgot to check if still connected to dac before restart
