At last I got my Zen today.
A foible
No remote to turn the power on and off, as a disabled person this is a biggie, as bending down to switch it on is not easy for the units siting on the rack (without changing a heavy amp, and thats NOT feasible, solution would be to include a trigger that can be set of from a seating posit,
 
The ZEN series are music servers so they do anticipate being left on 24/7 in case music were needed to be distributed around the house - the wattage consumption in idle is very low, so if you don't mind it then I would say it is absolutely fine to leave powered on if that's easier. This is how i always ran my ZENith and ZENmini.
