I've been ripping CDs to my ZEN Mini Mk3 (InnuOS 3.3.4) for several days without incident but ran into an odd issue today.

I've had Album view sorted by Date Added, to confirm each CD has been added successfully. (Therefore each newly-ripped CD appears at the top of the list when ripping has completed.) But today after ripping a CD, it was missing. Yet after re-sorting by Artist and Album view, it did show up in proper sort order. This had me stumped. Was something wrong with the disc and/or a software issue?

Then I noticed under CD Rip History that I had previously ripped the same CD in 2024, and then a short time later had deleted it from my library.

So it seems InnuOS "Date Added" references the first import date (in my case 2024), not the most recent import date (today). I'm not sure if this is intentional, but it was unexpected.

Yes this is intentional - Sense can actually keep a track of files even if they move around to other folders in the system or are removed and re-added. So in your case, when that CD was added back into the library again, it was detected as not actually being a brand new addition and had its original 'date added' reinstated.
