Can Zen NG Stream to a Squeezelite Endpoint

If I had a Zen NG serving music storage and server duties connected directly to a USB DAC in my main system, could I also use this to stream to a squeezelite endpoint in another room (not simultaneously)? The squeezelite endpoint would not be running on an Innuos unit. If I buy a Zen NG it would be nice to not have to maintain a separate LMS system specifically for my living room stereo.

Yes, you can stream from an Innuos server to any device that is running Squeeze. This actually gives you quite a few options, because not only can you then streamer to other HiFi streamers with Squeeze on it but also more 'DIY' devices like Pi's etc.
Also, there is a Squeeze-enabling app available on most platforms that would then allow your computers, phones and tablets themselves to become 'Sense endpoints'
It is best to keep only one instance of LMS running on the network if possible

Stephen, sorry for all the questions. I'm waiting to hear back from a local Innuos dealer to see if he has units available to audition, but I do have one additional important question (at least to me). My DAC requires a kernel version of at least 6.1.xx in order to play DSD256, are you able to tell me what kernel version is in use? I also saw that the Zen NG is using a real time kernel, which is nice. Thanks!
