Buying second hand question?

Hi all! I’m looking around for a Zen Mini Mk3 and recently read that a registered unit can be quite difficult to re-register to a new owner. I’ve only seen this mentioned once, so I just wanted to see if that’s a real thing or perhaps someone’s user error.

We do not actually have a registration process on the units and are quite 'hands-off' in this regard. The warranty just follows the serial number of the device, not the owner.

Our systems carry a 3 year warranty if purchased in 2023 or later. For systems purchased prior to 2023, the warranty period is 2 years. The warranty begins from the original date of purchase.

Then my Statement,.which was upgraded to Statement NG in April 2023 with a new serial number, counts towards the three-year warranty, right.?

Upgrades include a 1 year warranty that covers the specific components upgraded.

I should have double checked my typing before posting, its 2 years for Statement Next Gen upgrades, not 1 year. Otherwise its as originally stated. Upgrade warranty is 2 years on new parts only. Remaining parts keep the original warranty which, depending on the original date of purchase, may already have expired.
