Modules are to be fit either in the factory prior to shipping or by your dealer should you want to to change it or have a module fit after purchase. The standard Dac is the same used on the outgoing ZenMini yes. The performance Dac is big upgrade on this!

The Statement is still current and still remains one of the best music servers/streaners on the market today. Also just to clarify, the Statement itself was released in 2018/19 and the NG upgrade which as mentioned above was largely an upgrade to the PSU section was made available in 2023.

It is indeed specific to Dacs, I use a Chord Dac myself and also have the issue. The Dac we use on our ZEN/PulseMini however do not have this issue. I have seen 2 users with Gustard Dacs including yourself experience this issue. We're working on a solution for this, of course in the meantime...
