Update to this and bump. I used a usb to sata connector and hooked up the hdd to a laptop. Laptop said device is working properly and it shows partitioned drives, I just can't access anything. The hdd spins which could, I wonder, mean it's the software thats a problem. Any thoughts? Thanks

Hi I have the original Zen Mark 1 (13 years old) and it would appear that I have suffered a hard drive failure or corruption! My system was upgraded by innuous 8 years ago and was able to run MyInnuos. I have a backup of most of my music but the backup will only work using the old Vortexbox...
